On 9th September we open our next exhibition: Wood’n Boats.

 

This features the new work of two East Anglian artists - paintings by James Dodds and sculptures by Roger Hardy. There will also be films showing James creating a painting, the restoration of a wooden boat by Norfolk's own Rescue Wooden Boats, and a film of a fisherman out on his boat. We will also have a small collection of photographs of Glyn Knowles with his wooden crab boat, Liberty 111.

During the exhibition, we will be hosting "An Afternoon with Robert Jellicoe", who will be discussing his Southwold fishing family and his book Shorelines - Voices of Southwold Fishermen. The event will be on 28th September and tickets will be available on Eventbrite in due course.
