We are committed to ensuring the safety of all visitors, staff and volunteers at The Yare Gallery.

We are closely following the latest public health guidance and have undertaken all necessary measures to ensure that we are Covid-secure.

Will I need to wear a face covering in The Yare Gallery?

  • It is now mandatory under UK law for visitors to wear a face covering, unless medically exempt. Not all exemptions are visible so please be understanding of others.

  • If you arrive without a face covering, we will be able to provide you with a disposable mask.

  • All staff and volunteers will be provided with appropriate PPE.

What do I need to do for Test and Trace?

  • The Test and Trace QR code will be displayed at the front (west) entrance and we encourage all visitors to ‘check in’ on the NHS COVID-19 contact tracing app. If you are unable to do this, you must provide us with your contact details. This is a legal requirement for every visitor over the age of 16.

What cleaning and safety procedures are in place?

  • We have introduced an enhanced cleaning regime in the Gallery.

  • To control the flow of visitors, entry is through the front (west) entrance and we request that you exit via the side (south) exit. If you require step-free access, you may exit the Gallery through the front door.

  • Social distancing guidance will be signposted throughout the Gallery.

  • Hand sanitiser stations are available on every floor.

  • Visitor numbers in each room will be limited. Volunteers will provide you with information about this.

  • We are operating a cashless system, so can only accept payment by card.

  • Please be prepared to wait a little for entry and observe social distancing when queuing outside the Gallery.

As per Government guidance you should not leave your home or visit the Gallery if any of the following conditions apply:

  • You are displaying any symptoms of coronavirus (a high temperature, a continuous cough or a loss of sense of smell or taste).

  • You are waiting for the result of a coronavirus test.

  • You tested positive for coronavirus within the last 14 days.

  • You live with someone who has symptoms, is waiting for a test result or has tested positive in the last 10 days.

  • Someone in your support bubble has symptoms, is waiting for a test result or has tested positive in the last 10 days.
